This one day in person training provides a comprehensive introduction to key aspects of early childhood and brain development, as well as the crucial role caregivers and educators, play in helping children learn effective stress-management strategies. For Early Childhood Educators working with children preschool & kindergarten aged.

Training is from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm, with snacks and lunch provided. Breakfast will be available at 9:00 am.

AHVNA members will receive additional materials such as a physical copy of the Kids Have Stress Too Preschool & Kindergarten program manual.

In partnership with the Government Alberta, AHVNA will provide PD funding ($17.50/hour) to licensed educators for the hours allotted to this training. This course is approximately 5.5 hours of training. PD Funding is in addition to the 45 hours of funding provided by the Ministry of Children and Family Services.

In order to register, centres must be a member of AHVNA; one membership of $100 allows for any Early Childhood Educator within that agency to register for training through these grants.
