Mental Health First Aid (In Person) Edmonton March 2nd & 3rd, 2024

Event Phone: 780.429.4787

AHVNA is proud to be offering Mental Health First Aid for Early Childhood Educators. In partnership with the Government Alberta, AHVNA will provide PD funding ($17.50/hour) to licensed educators for the hours allotted to this training. This course is approximately 15 hours of training.

In order to register, centres must be a member of AHVNA; one membership of $100 allows for any Early Childhood Educator within that agency to register for training through these grants.

Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem, experiencing the worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Just like physical first aid is provided until medical treatment can be obtained, MHFA is given until appropriate support is found or until the crisis is resolved.

You must complete both days to receive release time funding and certification.

Training will take place at the DoubleTree Hotel West (16615 109th Ave). Lunch, snacks and coffee will be provided!

If you have any questions, or trouble registering please email ece@ahvna.org or call our administrative team at 780.429.4787
