Mental Health First Aid (in person) Edmonton September

Event Phone: 780.429.4787

AHVNA is proud to be offering Mental Health First Aid for Early Childhood Educators working with children ages 6-12 years old, predominantly in out of school programs. In partnership with the Government Alberta, AHVNA will provide release time disbursement to educators for the hours allotted to this training.

Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem, experiencing the worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Just like physical first aid is provided until medical treatment can be obtained, MHFA is given until appropriate support is found or until the crisis is resolved.

Training will be held at Sandman West Edmonton from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm on both days. Coffee, water and a catered breakfast and lunch will be provided! Please arrive 10 minutes before to get settled, we will provide learning materials for this training.

You must complete both days to receive release time funding and certification.

If you have any questions, or trouble registering please email ece@ahvna.org or call our administrative team at 780.429.4787
